Webbing plays an important role in various areas of human life.

They are often used in industries such as hiking/camping, outdoor, military, pets, and sporting goods. Let's discuss the differencesbetween polypropylene, polyester, and nylon webbing.

POLYPROPYLENE TAPE

Polypropylene webbingis made of a thermoplastic synthetic polymer known for its durability, strength, and water resistance. The webbing can withstand harsh weather conditions and is highly flexible. It is often used in outdoor equipment due to its excellent UV protection and mildew resistance. Polypropylene webbing is resistant to oils, chemicals, and acids. It has a lower melting point, inferior in strength to polyamide and polyester.

POLYESTER TAPE

Polyester webbing is resistant to water, mildew and UV radiation. It is a strong and durable material that can withstand sunlight, abrasion and harsh weather conditions. Polyester webbing is a great choice for outdoor use, backpacks and luggage straps, as it can withstand extreme temperatures (-40 to 257 °F). It is not as durable as nylon, but remains one of the most popular options.

POLYAMIDE (NYLON) TAPE

Nylon tape is made of polyamide fibers, which are known for their strength, durability and high wear resistance. It can withstand heavy loads, such as "Towing tape 40 mm / 50 m", harsh climatic conditions and exposure to chemicals. This makes polyamide slings an ideal material for making military equipment, belts and ties. Nylon is unrivaled in conditions of strong abrasion, but does not cope with water as well as polypropylene or polyester tape.

The choice of sling material depends on the specific application.
